Art at Dunsville
The aims of teaching art in school is to encourage the children to develop the enjoyment and skills of drawing, painting, sculpture and other techniques.
As a school, we enjoy celebrating the art that is created through displays, themed weeks and the children’s work produced in their own sketchbooks.
Our Sculpture Day
We were very lucky to be chosen to take part in a ‘Sculpture Day’ with the support of Art UK and have a visiting Artist come into school. The children had the opportunity to explore some of the work produced by ‘Hilary Cartmel’, which created a stimulus to support their own sculpture work during our Arts Week.
We held an Arts Exhibition in the hall to show off all of the children’s work.
